The heroes travel on a skyship to reach the fortress of Menethar, a Darkland outpost of the Empire. There, they need to retrieve Princess Lorelei, who was visiting the town. On their arrival, they find Menethar under siege by Orc hordes led by Drow.
They manage to rescue the princess, and get back on their sky-ship, not before Ghalan kills the brother of the Orc chieftain that was attacking the town, Gromsh One-eye. During the rescue attempt, the sky-ship deck is heavily damaged, and the Captain of the ship decides to stop at a friendly town once above the Dark Cloud, in order to arrange repairs. Unfortunately, it is not such a easy task to mend the magical wood that makes the ship fly.
